Floyd Mayweather not impressed with ‘Con Artist McLoser’

Former champ champ Conor McGregor had two fights in 2013, the year he debuted in the big show, and he had two fights the next year. Things ramped up in 2015 and 2016, with three fights in each. The last fight in 2015 earned the UFC featherweight belt, and the last in 2016 the lightweight belt.

In 2017, a boxing match vs. GOAT candidate Floyd Mayweather took up the entire year. In 2018 McGregor lost his lightweight title to Khabib Nurmagomedov. In 2019, nothing. 2020 saw a dominating performance vs. Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. And 2021 saw “The Notorious stopped by Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 257 on Saturday night.
Doubtless spurred by the attention around McGregor this weekend, an Instagram user asked the following question: “Why is Floyd Mayweather hated for the way he carries himself but Conor McGregor is loved for the same way he carries himself?”

Mayweather responded.

“I seen this post and my take on it is that the world knows Con Artist McLoser can steal everything from me and be loved but I’m hated. That just lets you all know that racism still exist,” he responded. “Just know, that bum will never be me or be on my level. I’m just built different, my mindset is on another planet, my skills are second to none, I’m a natural born winner and yes I talk a lot of trash, but every time I back it up! This is what they hate.
“It’s sad that you can be a poor black kid from the ghetto that has dealt with racism your whole life and work extremely hard to put yourself and your family in a better position, and most of the hate come from my own people. Connor cannot even win in his own sport, but talking about coming back to boxing to fight Pacquiao. Nobody wants to see that, it’s like my leftovers eating leftovers.”

That’s a fair amount to unpack, Start with, do you want to see McGregor box Manny Pacquiao? If not, who would like to see “The Notorious” fight next, and under what rule set?
